What Is Plaid?
Plaid is a secure service that helps you connect your bank account to Raisin. It allows you to verify your account safely so you can make deposits and withdrawals. Raisin never sees or stores your banking login details — Plaid handles the connection securely.
Two Ways to Link Your Bank Account
When linking your bank account, you may see one of two screens depending on when you started your application. Both screens offer the same options:
1. Instant Verification (Recommended)
- Log in to your online banking through Plaid
- Your account is verified instantly
Best for: Fast setup with no waiting period.
2. Manual Verification
- Enter your routing and account number
- Plaid sends a small test deposit to your bank
- Once it appear, return to Raisin and enter the amounts to verify
Verification time: 1–2 business days
What If My Bank Doesn’t Support Instant Login?
Some banks do not allow instant login through Plaid.
If that happens, you’ll be guided automatically to Manual Verification instead.
Troubleshooting Tips
I don’t see the test deposits yet
- The deposits may take 1 business day to show in your bank account.
Plaid login didn’t work
- Your bank may not support Instant Verification
- Try Manual Verification instead
I chose Instant but now want to switch
- You can restart the process anytime and choose Manual Verification.
