A power of attorney is a legal document that lets you pick a trusted person — called an agent — to help make decisions and take action on your behalf.
The "powers" granted in the document can be narrow or broad, giving the agent permission to do things like:
Check your account balances and statements
Move money into or out of your savings accounts
Open new savings products on your behalf
Call or email Raisin Customer Service to manage your account
Important things to know:
Choose carefully: Your agent gets real access to your savings. Only name someone you trust completely.
You keep control: As long as you are able to make your own choices, you can cancel (revoke) a power of attorney by telling us in writing. If we require official documentation that it was canceled, we will let you know.
We protect your account: Raisin will only let an agent manage your funds after we check their ID and confirm your legal documents are valid.
Power of attorney has limits: Both the Raisin account and the linked external account will stay in your name. Power of attorney ends automatically if you pass away or the conditions under which the powers were granted end.
