If your bank isn't listed for instant verification during account creation, or if you prefer not to enter your online banking credentials, you can link your account manually through Plaid using your routing and account numbers.
Note: This process uses Plaid's manual verification system during initial registration. If you need to link an account without Plaid after sign-up, please refer to our standard manual account linking guide.
Step-by-step instructions:
- Enter your phone number to log into Plaid, or select Continue as Guest.
- Select Manual Verification within the Plaid pop-up during your Raisin sign-up flow.
- Select your financial institution from the list, or type your bank's name into the search bar.
- Enter your 9-digit routing number and account number, followed by selecting your account type.
- Authorize the $0.01 deposit to be sent via Plaid to your External Account. Within 1–2 business days, a $0.01 deposit will be sent along with a 3-letter verification code.
- Log into your external bank's app or website and check your transaction history. Look for the $0.01 deposit details to find the 3-letter verification code attached to the transaction description.
- Log back into your Raisin account, navigate to your setup steps, and enter the 3-letter code.
- Once submitted, the external account will be linked.
